In June, we welcomed French designer Lucas Zito for a three day showroom pop up, inviting visitors to explore his work through conversation, exhibitions and shared experiences.
From Paris to Zagreb: Lucas Zito at Holographik Space
A graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven, Lucas is known for his work across furniture, lighting and collectible objects. His practice combines 3D printing, material experimentation and craftsmanship, exploring new ways of designing and making contemporary pieces.
The visit began with a private dinner hosted together with Iva Pauzar, Tulip Studio and Barrel. Before opening the showroom to the public, we brought together designers, architects, creatives and friends of the local design community for an evening of conversation, good food and new connections. It was a chance to welcome Lucas to Zagreb and create space for ideas and conversations that continued throughout the following days.
The following evening, the public program began with a Design Talk, where Lucas shared the ideas behind his work, spoke about his creative process and reflected on designing across different countries and contexts. More than a presentation, it became a conversation with the audience, where questions, experiences and different perspectives were all part of the evening.
The showroom remained open throughout the following days, giving visitors the opportunity to explore Lucas’s objects up close and spend more time with the collection.
Events like this are what our cultural program is all about. We want to create opportunities for designers to share their work beyond the finished object and create a place where designers, architects, artists, students, creatives and anyone curious about contemporary design and culture can meet, exchange ideas and learn from one another. Every edition is a chance to discover new perspectives, meet like-minded people and experience design in an open and approachable way.
