Visiting
- What is Holographik Space?
- A 180 m² floor in Trešnjevka, Zagreb, that changes what it is through the day. Specialty coffee and a place to work from eight in the morning, cocktails from five, and in between or after, the room gets rebuilt for exhibitions, talks, concerts, dinners, showrooms and shoots. The photo studio is next door. What has happened here so far is in projects.
- What are the opening hours?
- Monday to Thursday 8 to 22, Friday 8 to 24, Saturday 9 to 24, Sunday 10 to 18. On event days the floor can be closed to the public for a few hours; we post that on Instagram.
- Do I need a reservation?
- No. Walk in, sit down, someone comes to your table. The bar does not take table reservations. Exhibitions and most evenings in the programme are free to enter; concerts with tickets say so in the announcement.
- Where are you?
- Ulica Franje Petračića 3, Trešnjevka, Zagreb. Public parking is nearby. One private parking space is included with a booking of the space or the studio.
- Can I work here on my laptop?
- Yes, through the day, at the tables set up for it. At five the room turns: laptops close and the counter moves to cocktails.
- Can I bring my dog?
- Yes, on a leash, and not in the showroom zone.
- Can I pay in cash?
- No. Cards only, for everything.
- Can I bring my own food or drinks?
- No. Everything comes over our bar, including at private events.
- Is there a terrace?
- Yes, 100 m² of it, open in the warm months. We ask you to keep the noise down out there, the neighbours are close.
Coffee and the bar
- What coffee do you serve?
- Two grinders. The house coffee is El Rosal from Colombia, a washed lot we brew every day. The second grinder rotates every few weeks between coffees we have cupped and liked, lately Sidamo Taferi Kela from Ethiopia. There is a decaf, and filter is brewed to order. More on the coffee page.
- Can I buy beans?
- Yes. The coffees we serve are available as whole beans at the counter. If you are not sure which one, ask, and we brew you a cup first.
- Is there anything to eat?
- Focaccia, a quiche and cakes at the counter, through the day. It is food made to go with coffee, not a breakfast or brunch menu.
- When do cocktails start?
- At five, every day. The list has our own signature drinks, classics made properly, the Holo Fame drinks that guests keep asking for, and a special that changes with the month. The list itself changes with the season. Three drinks on it have no alcohol. More on the cocktails page.
- Where is the menu?
- At holographik.space/menu, day and evening, with the PDFs to take with you.
- Is there table service?
- Yes, full table service, all day. At busy times we ask for one drink per hour at the table so there is room for everyone.
Renting the space
- Can I rent the space for an event?
- Yes. The whole floor with the terrace is €420 per hour, minimum four hours, up to 150 people, closed to the public for your booking. The showroom zone alone is €180 per hour, minimum three hours, up to 50 guests, while the coffee bar stays open. Prices are without 25 % VAT. Bar staff is €70 for every 20 guests. - What is included in the rent?
- The space and the terrace, chairs and tables, two long wooden tables, plinths, the bar and our team behind it, four microphones with the house sound system, projector and full wall projection, DJ equipment and speakers, dimmable RGBW lighting, curtains and sliding partitions to divide the room, Wi-Fi, cloakroom, two toilets, one parking space, setup and takedown on the day, and cleaning once everyone has gone. Nothing on that list is charged separately.
- How does booking work?
- On the booking page you choose the hours and the number of guests and see the price straight away, pick a date from the live calendar, add what you need, and send the inquiry. We reply within 24 hours on business days with availability and a quote. The booking is confirmed once the deposit is paid; the rest is settled after the event.
- Can I bring my own catering?
- Food, yes. Either through our catering partners or your own caterer, and we agree which one with the offer. Drinks always come from our bar, charged on consumption on top of the rent. The selection can be limited, pre-arranged and tailored to the event.
- Do I need to include setup time in the hours?
- Yes. Rental time is counted from entering to leaving, setup and dismantling included. Around 15 minutes over is free; longer runs on the hourly rate.
- What if I need to cancel?
- More than 7 days ahead returns 95 % of the payment, between 7 days and 48 hours 50 %, inside 48 hours nothing.
- Can I use the design furniture?
- 23 pieces come with the rent. Another 70 design and art pieces are rented by the day, a single chair or bench often makes the setup. The catalogue is at Object Rental.
- Can the event run past midnight, or over several days?
- Yes, those we agree individually. Write to hello@holographik.space with the dates.
- Can I host a dinner?
- Yes. Seated, standing with bites, or seated and then standing. We handle the menu or you bring your own chef. Start at Private Dining.
- I have an idea for an exhibition or a talk. Who do I write to?
- hello@holographik.space, with what it is, when, and who is behind it. Part of what happens here is our own programme and part arrives from outside; we read everything.
The photo studio
- What is in the studio?
- 120 m² next door to the space: a white cyclorama, eight paper backdrops, full blackout, daylight when you want it, a lighting kit with modifiers and grip, high ceiling and parking at the door. Details on the Photo Studio page.
- What does it cost?
- Studio only is €70 per hour: four hours €270, eight hours €535, twelve hours €790. Studio with lighting is €75 per hour: four hours €280, eight hours €555, twelve hours €815. Cleaning is €30 per booking. Prices are without 25 % VAT. A guide in Croatian with everything on one page is here.
- How do I book the studio?
- On Book the Photo Studio: hours, live availability, add-ons, inquiry. The booking is confirmed once the full amount is paid in advance. Studio time is counted from entering to leaving, around 15 minutes over is free.
- Any rules for the cyclorama?
- Shoe covers for anyone stepping on it. Paint, water or heavy marks mean repainting, charged at €20.
- Can I use the design objects in the shoot?
- Yes. The same 70 pieces from Object Rental go by the day into the studio. Say the word before your date and we prepare them.
Everything else
- Can I take photos in the bar?
- For yourself, of course. Professional shoots of branded items need a booking; write to us first. The space is under video surveillance and evenings get photographed, so by coming in you may end up in a picture we post.
- How do I hear about what is on?
- The news page, Instagram, and the newsletter in the footer: one email a month, in time to actually come.
