An Evening with New Works

Talk & Showcase

2025

We recently hosted New Works at Holographik Space in collaboration with Soba.hr for a private event dedicated to contemporary design. Architects, interior designers, creatives and long time collaborators came together to meet the team behind one of Denmark's leading design brands and learn more about the ideas that shape their work.

We were honoured to host the Embassy of Denmark in Croatia, there to stand behind a Danish house working on this market and to spend the evening among the architects and designers who specify it here. That turned the night into a shared occasion rather than a brand visit, and gave everyone in the room a part in the story instead of a seat in front of it.

Rather than a traditional presentation, the evening was designed as an opportunity to share knowledge, exchange experiences and connect people working across the design industry.

The talk and the collection

The evening featured a conversation with Christian Budde from New Works, who introduced the brand's philosophy, collections and approach to design.

Joining him was the team from Regular Company, who spoke about their collaboration with New Works and shared their perspective on working with an international design brand.

The collection was never grouped into a display. The pieces were distributed across the floor and absorbed into the existing interior, each one set in the situation it was designed for: seating at seating height, lighting doing the work of lighting, surfaces carrying what surfaces carry. Guests read them the way a room is read, by moving through it, sitting down and putting a hand on the material.

A meeting point

Bringing together the people behind the brand and the designers behind the products created a conversation that offered a closer look at how ideas develop into long term collaborations. We love seeing the Space become a meeting point for brands and the local creative community. Every event brings different people, different ideas and a different story, and that's exactly what keeps it interesting.

Why New Works

New Works is a house we have followed and admired for a long time. To present a brand’s vision inside the Space, to host the people behind it and to stand close to work we already care about, is a privilege we do not take lightly.

Something happens when a floor fills with people who share the same interest and the same respect for material, for the object and for the thinking behind it. That energy collects in one place, and an evening of presentation and conversation becomes something that carries forward into everything each of us goes on to make.
